There should be small wire clamps on the rubber connectors that connect the plastic tubes to the nipples on the carb and OMP. The nipples are small metal tubes that project about an inch from the carb and OMP.

Use needle nose pliers to pinch the clamp open, then gently slip the rubber connector off the nipple.

In some cases, especially if it has been removed recently, the rubber connector can be slipped on and off without pinching the clamp with pliers.

ray: by his profile info, he has an se so no carb.

acekid7: the lines will probably be brittle from engine heat. can't remember how those lines r attached to the housings on the se but if it's like a metal ring that's crimped on the line then pliers like ray mentioned should help.

suggestion on refitting to pump and carb -original spring clips should be worn and black tubing leaks.
I found by sliding a bigger piece of hose - 1/2 " I think- and with new clips over the original hose holds tight.

No. Do not use a pliers. The omp lines on the SE have banjo fittings on both ends. The injectors have a 14mm bolt shape just above the banjo fitting for the lines. The injectors unscrew and the banjo bolt comes off.

Sorry not to notice you have an SE, the needle nose pliers method is for the little clamps on the lines in the carbed cars. Sounds like the SE's are way different.

Anyway, the oil injector, or OMP as it's called (oil metering pump) usually doesn't need servicing unless it's leaking or not delivering oil as specified in the FSM (factory service manual, there's a simple test you can do in there).

Lucky dog, how'd you get an SE for your first FB?

thanks man it was a lucky catch i guess. Well to my understanding The omp is the part attached to the front cover on the bottom with the 4 lines coming out. Then those run into the oil injectors that are on the lower intake manifold. I know its good to rebuild the fuel injectors should i do the same with the oil injectors.

The oil 'injectors' are merely oneway valves. There's a complicated test in the FSM that requires one to blow in each end. Air can pass into the engine but not out.
