ok so i cant find a gsl se rear end, soo.,

im trying to build up a tight little car but finding parts is a pain soo, im going to get a hollow 85 (base model) axle from the wrecker tommorow., find an fc na lsd 3rd member, some good brakes off something, not sure what kind, possibly gslse, or something else,

why i have right now a 4x114.5 front end on my car, and im in the proces of trying to convert the back but cant find the gslse, so im making something i hope will be better, correct me if im wrong, but all 84 and 85 model rx7s share the same axle housing, s4 n/a 3rd members fit, i can find iether gslse brakes, and axles or something aftermarket for axles and brakes,
am i missing anything?

what else should i get while im there, whats the strongest 3rd member that will fit my car, i can find at an ordinary wrecker, i know i cant find miata, or kia, maybe rwd 626, or 929, or bseries 4x4 pickup front 3rd, or who knows what else, basically old stuff, whats my best option, for good gear ratio, and power handling for my soon to be turbo11 swap, thanks guys, any suggestions would be awsome, as i said im going tommorow, and need to know,
paul,

S/4 N/A 3rd members will bolt in and the Series 3 axles will spline in, but the FCs have a much longer pinion snout. I doubt the FC driveshaft would be the correct length, and the FB/SA driveshaft would definitely be the wrong length. So you'd need to spend more on a custom driveshaft than a parts GSL-SE would cost.

Here's a tip: Find a Kia Sportage in the junkyard. The late 90's ones. Grab the front pumpkin. It will work, and wham 4.78 gears. No limited slip, but a GSL or FC N/A unit will work.

FC 3rd members suck *** because they use an oddball pinion length, whereas the SA/FB use the "standard" setup that is shared with truck fronts and Miatas and Kia fronts and S2000s and lots else.

I think he's looking for the axle shafts with the 114.3 bolt pattern, not the pumpkin... IN that case, His best bet is Moser Engineering.
