Ok to push-start a flooded SE?

Ok to push-start a flooded SE?

Well, the body shop guy didn't listen to me and shut off the car after moving into the bay. Yep, she's flooded. This place is on a hill, is it ok to try to roll-start? I know about the other methods, thought this might be easier.

roll-start on a good hill is the easiest way to start it. 2nd gear should do the trick.

Thanks, I'll try it. The car will sit probably 10 days while getting painted before it's done.

Yah don't worry about push starting...I've done it Tons of times to mine with no problems at all.

It never fails. I always tell anyone who has my car what NOT to do. And then you get this call....

Tell me about it. I told this guy point blank "There's a quirk in this model car. Whenever you start it, be SURE to let it run to operating temp before shutting it off, or it will flood and be very hard to start". He said, "OK".
So today he says "Hey, you're right, I started the car and moved it into the bay to begin work. It died, now it won't start"
That car has never 'died', the bonehead shut it off. Otherwise, why would he start it, then pull it into the bay to finish warming up?

Whats odd is i've never had that flooding problem.... Many times i can only start the car to move it for a few seconds(indoor) and its never given me problems.

It seems to affect only some cars..I recall Manntis says its never happened to pamela...
Wonder why?
