Oil questions...

Well I just got done changing my oil and fuel filter (PITA btw) in my SE.

I put 4 quarts of Castrol GTX 20w50 and 1qt of MMO. I checked the level and it's above the F mark... it's actually to the point where the rod turns round (not flat anymore) which is a bit above the hash marks.

I know I know... I should have put in 4qt's total and then checked it but I was kind of excited and hurrying to get to bed at the same time Am I going to run into problems now? should I jack her up and pull the plug and see if I can drain 1 qt or so... maybe back into the container? or am I ok just being a little over the F mark?

ALSO.... when the car is running my oil pressure gauge is at 60 (or a little above) and sometimes at idle it's below 60. Is this bad? or is this normal for an 85 GSL-SE? (FYI I have a small crack in the oil cooler where one of the hoses fits on... it's JB Welded (cause it can't be welded) and still leaks a little need a new oil cooler)

If all is good I'm gonna take her for a run at emissions tommorow morning after I eat a nice greasy breakfast (sorry... I'm a little excited... I'm on the Body-for-Life program and Saturday is my free day... I can eat whatever I want!)

TIA... Chris..

Rotaries can take a little over filling so you're probably fine. There's no dorky reciprocating parts to splash around down there.

60PSI or a little below is normal.

Just don't put your body into shock with all those sauages and eggs!
