Oil Pressure isn't steady...

Okay, here's what's happened so far:

Last week sometime (early in the week) I put some oil in my car, since it needed it. Ever since then, my oil pressure has been kinda funnny.

When I go to work in the morning, or after the car has sat overnight the pressure is at 60. 60 is where it's supposed to be, right?

So my car sits for 4-8 hours in the sun and waits for me to drive it back home. Usually on my way home, the pressure goes to 60, and then starts to drop. If I go to burger king for dinner after work, then while I'm sitting in line the pressure drops a LOT. It almost drops to the line left of 60. But there's still some space between the needle and that line (maybe 1 cm?)

So the second time it happened, I let my car sit over night, and then the next day I checked the oil. The oil is fine. It's about half-way between Low and Too-full. So I went ahead and put another quart in.

So today I'm sitting at burger king and I'm watching the guage, and it's dropping, and it stopped about 1cm from the low line. I was thinking, "Damnit car, just tell me what is wrong!!!"

So now I'm at home and wondering what I need to check. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need any more oil, but I think I'm gonna go buy some just incase I have to drain it and replace something.

So do you guys have any ideas what it could be? I'm pretty sure it's not leaking, and if it is, it's not leaking very much at a time, but enough to make the pressure drop.

Get a mechanical gauge in it! I have seen many times the factory guage lie to yah

I sell the alum. block that goes under the oil filler neck for mechanical gauges. Alum. block, 2 extended studs, 4 new oil o'rings, 2 plugs(incase you dont use the holes in it). $35.00
