from the sounds of it, you might have blown the fuse for the fuel pump. when you turn the key, it'll make noise and shoot fuel out the supply hose. check your fuel filter too.... not that that's what is wrong, but always a good idea to replace. when you had your console apart, you didn't connect the bullet connectors under the armrest area, did you? those fit together, and the casual eye would think they're supposed to be attached, but those connectors are for the auto tranny, which i'm assuming you don't have. if you connect them, you get all kinds of wacky probs. but first, check that fuse! in case you didn't know, it's in the fuse box, drivers side under the dash near the speaker and the hood release latch. the fuses are marked on the inside of the fusebox cover.

i feel stupid!
i took the fuse out of the fuel pump spot!
thinking it was a spare and i put it in the cigarette lighter spot
so of course then the lighter worked but not the fuel pump..
my o my i gotta think before i act sometimes...
wasted so much of my day,
and almost 120$ as well.
