is it still 750 if you have a full out header/exhaust setup? cause mine idles smooth down to about 1000 maybe 900. any lower and it wants to die.

holy **** mine idles at 1500. well its partially because of the pedal linkage if i pull it back with my foot it drops to 1000 but wont go below that.

i dont know about a rotory, but on a piston enine the drop in backpressure would make you shift the idle up

anything that lowers bottom end torque makes you have to raise the idle

i just installed my exhaust, and now my car is idling really low. i tried messing with the screw but i can't get it any higher than like 600-700, and it is pulsating. But mine used to idle at like 800-850 before I got my full exhaust.

The 83 idles so smoothly at 700 you can't tell it's running. The 85 is almost as good, but not quite so quiet.

maybe the tach is off? I remember talking to someone who had a tach that was off... it said 1200 when it was at 800, so he adjusted it down to read 800 and made it 400... it ran, but ran like crap.
