normal idle?

normal idle?

just seeing exactly where my idle should be. It sits at around 2k cold and then eventually settles around 1100. Seems fine, smells a little rich but unsure if thats alright or not. Mods aren't too much except duals on the back.

idk about the 13b, but a 12a is supposed to idle at 750.. 2k sounds normal warming up tho. and dont worry about it smelling rich haha welcome to rotaries

My 85 SE I just bought seems to idle when warm about 1000k too. The guys at MAZDATRIX have it right now trying to make the damn thing idle when cold LOL

here is the page from the training manual, 1800-200rpm on cold start is normal, and then it should taper down to 750rpm by the time the coolant needle hits the first line, 65C
