Noltec top mounts and Respeed coilovers
has anyone fitted noltec top mounts with the respeed coilover kit yet?
ive not come to the final assembly yet but im worried my top coilover plate will need spacing to fit under my noltec top mounts (they are resesed quite a way) am i ok just to use some harded washers to do this?
thanks

The recess in the CO tops are for the needle bearings and hardened washers to sit in. Once they are stacked correctly the thicker hardened washer will slightly protrude from the CO top.
The object is to allow the needle bearing/washer combo to be the only thing that touches the bottom of the strut top mount. If the bottom of the noltec mounts hits the coil over top then you can use a spacer to space it away. The spacer should be slightly bigger inside diameter than the shock shaft. To allow it to slip up and down.
Shoot me a pick of the bottom of the noltecs if you can.

Billy,
put these together today using the old top mounts (have ordered the clubsport but persume they are the same just solid) i just need to get a 5mm hardened washer made up to make it all work, will get some pictures up of the old and new once they arrive but washers needed are 40mm outter 24mm inner 5mm thick these then sit nicely in the collors that come with the Noltecs and on top of the washers/bearing in your kit

the lip on the collor is just a little to big for the washers supplied to sit snug up agaist.
i may just get away with opening the washer up to take the lip but i can get the 5mm ones made up no hassle and this gives me plenty of clearence
