noise

Hi,
My car got hit in the side by another car (not too much damage) and I got it all fixed up. Now I can hear a really lound electric clicking noise whenever the ignition is on (it has allways been there a little, I think it is from the fuel pump, but now it is extreemly loud) what do you think is wrong?

I can always hear my fuel pump when I turn the ignition on. Depending on the year of your car it prolly is the same noise I hear. Mine is a 79 though.

Yikes man.. well IMO you should take it to whoever fixed your car and tell them, and get the person that hit you to pay for it. It is your gas lines your talking about so you want that pefect at all times anyway... I guess theres a chance eaither your fuel pump is worn out or got disturbed structurley when you were hit.. you'd be surprised how much damage can happen from a small hit. The whole car was basically designed to take all the damage all over, as the chasis was designed. Just be really careful though because you dont want a fire...
