FL no spark, no start!! HELP!!

3 days ago i parked my car, and it was running perfect. 2days later i try to start it but i wont start. all i know is that its not getting any spark. i pulled out the spark plugs and none of them are sparking. also wen i pulled then i saw that they looked like they were dipped in gas and also looked the car was kind brown and dirty on the spark plug. its an 85 rx7 gs. it has a new dizzy cap, wires and plugs, so im thinking the main fuse link is blown or something. i new i should have converted it to the fc fuse block

help!! does anyelse think its the fuse link or could it b something else?

check for voltage at coils... should see 12v when key is on. If no voltage then look at fuses. If that all checks out you may have a dead ignitor... there's a thread posted by Jeff20b about testing ignitors.

Good luck.

try swapping your leading and trailing ignitors... car will run without trailing, but not without leading... you also may have it flooded... you should pull the plugs and the fuel pump fuse and crank it a bit to get the gas out.

If none of the plugs are firing both ignitors would have to be bad. Pretty unusual for both to go at the same time. What happens when you turn the key? Do all the dash lights come on and the starter turns the engine over? If so it's not the fusible link. You should have 12V, with the ignition switch on, to the Black/white wires on the + terminal on both coils and the Black/white wire on each ignitor.

Sounds like the same issue I have been having.....Car ran great then nothing.....Had my ignitors tested and one was bad.....(FYI Adkins rotary $60.00 for ignitors) Replaced the bad one and all is good.....ish.....now I just gotta figure out why the fuel pump is flooding my engine......one damn thing after the next.

yea and i actually had two extra ignitors layin around, but i wasnt sure if they were good or not., but wen i put them on it didnt make a difference, still no spark. they were in the glove box wen i bought the car, it was worth a shot.
im starting to think it could be the coils now. hmmm idk, ill check it out tomorrow it too late now haha.
wish me luck

never seen both coils fail at the same time.. are you sure you're not getting spark? could it just be that the engine is flooded? pull one of teh plugs and install it intot eh plug wire as usual, but rest the plug against one of the strut mount studs. make sure you can see it and crank the engine over ans see if you are getting any spark. repeat this for the leading as well as the trailing. if your trailing ignitor were faulty, the tach would not work at all.

I agree....Its unlikely that the coils are the problem....If its cranking but not starting you have either 1 or 2 bad ignitors. I just got mine started last night.....FINALLY after replacing everything but the ignitors. Once I did that wouldn't you know it..Started right up. New ignitors will run you $150.00 - $250.00 Get online and check out Adkins Rotary you will be happy.

Oh and mazdaverx713b----Injectors work great after shipping them off for cleaning. Thanks again
