no high beams blackdragon

I did the search for no "high beams". All the posts pointed to the combi switch.

I've dismantled the combi switch, soaked things in vinegar so all those copper contacts are bright and shiny. So it ain't the combi switch!!

Also the high beam indicator comes on , so it ain't the combo switch.

And I've had other experience where it >>WAS<< the combi switch.

I think the next thing to do is remove the Blackdragon Heavy Duty Headlight Harness.

Has anyone else had this exact problem, and would like to point me in the right direction?

Have you checked the headlight relay?

There are 2 relays in the BD harness, one for high and one for low. I'd get the old DVM out and
check them to see whats happening.

s11-1a-c1-12vdc relay was the problem.

1st, I disconnected the black dragon heavy duty harness, and found that hi low beams worked in the OEM setting. Next, I swapped relays. I popped the cap off the bad one. It was really dirty inside. You'd think it was a GM part!!!

After soaking it in vinegar, and running paper between the contacts, rinsing with water, drying with a hair blow dryer, it worked!! Finally , I sealed both with RTV sealant.

FYI, the >>>s11-1a-c1-12vdc relay<<< is used by many many cars. Foreign and domestic.

Glad you figured it out. Are these the relays in the BD harness you're talking about?
