I've been wanting this particular wing for a really long time... I've seen very few of them and they were far between, so now that I found one I had to scoop it up...

Anyone know what company made these? Looks similar to the Rmagic wing for the FC, but not quite... Anyways whatcha think?

 

Oh man! That's the one I've been searching for. Before you mount it up, you need to let someone make a mold of it...

Hold it up to your RX-7 so I could see how it flows. Just temp mount it for picture reference purposes.

 

Forget carbon fiber. Not everyone goes for the c/f look. Do a mold to keep it as fiberglass if anything.

The reason I mentioned carbon is because someone here had already asked me about having a carbon version made...

People who lay CF also lay FG so it would be no hard task for them to make both versions...

 

Doesn't it look like the shorter one with the back streched out a bit.

 

CF is unrealistic at the moment, the military have scooped it all up so its become stupidly expensive.

Ok I found a little info on this wing...

It was made by Mazda for the Daytona campaign, and there were only 100 of these wings produced... Nice find if I do say so myself...

 

I have one of those...when I bought my fb I took it off because I didn't like the look of it on my 7...that one looks like its made out of aluminum

 

Nah it's fiberglass... It was on a faded gold FB, so that's why it looks like that...

 

I do know that done in the right color, sometimes with the same color of the car, it looks very badass. First time I saw that style wing was on an FB outside the shop. I looked at it and said to the guy "The hell is up with this? Looks like a bad bondo job." Tech told me that that was actually stock and is very rare to find one with that wing on it. Car was white with a badly faded wing, with some blemishes, on it. So, I'd say good find. At times I've thought of having that on mine.

 

Well I plan on having a mold made for it... I'd like to see more FB's rockin this wing...

He makes very nice replicas and it would just add to the ongoing list of things I have to drive out and pay/trade him for.
