new wheels
Can someone give me a good idea on where to get a nice set of stock looking wheels for an 84 gs? If not, the best way to clean up the old ones.

just sand with progressively finer sandpaper, and finish it off with some mothers wheel polish, i saw a post months ago, a guy had done the same thing and had near mirror finish wheels. It will take some work, but they can clean up quite nicely

While it's not for the RX-7 wheels, I used this guide to polish my alum. GSL-SE wheels. Sounds like the same process can be used for your wheels.

My rims are stock, but painted black. The paint is chipping in some areas. Would I be best to sand them completely and repaint, or can I touch them up somehow? I really like them being black, so if I repaint them, what kind of paint should I use?
Here's a pic of my mags... a little dirty, but hey the car won't be on the road until July anyway.

lazy man worx double. if u spray new paint on it, it will start to chip off again. the base must be nice and clean so i suggest sanding down as must as u can and start over. high heat resistant paint used to spay motor seems to work great on rims. it takes a day or two to dry completely though.
