New radiator question
I jsut replaced my rad with a new one from radiators.com. Fit good, and its bigger in all the right spots. But it has an extra on it. There are two tubes on the bottom left center side on the back (towards firewall). they are I believe 1/4 in. OD, maybe ID. I was worried that maybe its was for something I didnt have, but forgot to cap them the next day when I refilled the coolent (I fixed a problem I was having with my intake and JB welded a couple quarters over the coolant passages). I drove the car home then remember that I didnt cap them. Well, nothing came out of them, So now Im wondering if my rad also has an oil cooler built in with it? Anyone got an idea? was this something that came stock on an SE? Im pretty convinced that it is, but I was wondering if someone else had any experience with this phanomina.
The rad works great though, Temps are now well below what I was seeing before, down at around quarter of the way under hard driving as opposed to over half way.

The two nipples on the bottom is for cooling a transmission, you can cap them, or just leave them the way they are as they are completely separate from the radiator itself on the inside. I just put a rubber nipple looking cap on each of them to make them look a little finished, but again you can just leave them alone, no worries.

ahh, that makes perfect sense, They came with caps, left them on. Not that my engine bay has much of a finished look to it, wires & cables all over and the rig job for my acclerator cable linkage and what not. But at least its one more thing I dont have to worry about later when I do clean it up

Its a transmission oil cooler, incase you had an auto.
90% of non-race aftermarket radiators come with them, its cheaper for them to build one model for both auto and manual cars then to do two.
