Ah, that is the # 20940 Rear Sump. Very thick pan.

they say that it can be fit to a stock RX, the cross member just needs to be trimed to fit

correct me if I'm wrong but when it says:

Fits 1974-85 Mazda 13B Rotary Engine

weren't 84 and 85 the only years that had 13bs in that range? I know there were 13b's before that, and after that...but...

Well the four port cosmo 13b is a popular swap, it fits right into the first gen rexs. I have one in my car; now if I only had some $ for the pan

Rayman I think you are entitled to return that oil pan since the guy that ordered it for you ordered a pan for a 13B Rotary Engines used in tube chassis cars and other cars without a crossmember located under engine (check dimensions for clearance)

Which you do not have. You have a tub chassis with a factory crossmember under the engine.

Good Luck.

Otherwise you can also try to sell it on partstrader.com and various regional SCCA and NASA web sites.

Well this is meant for any 13B before 1985. Any 13B after 1985 have the engine mount placed in the bottom which blocks some of the space for oil pan.
This one is quite a bit different than stock as part of the crossmember on 1st gen rx7s sticks out under the engine and this pan is too deep and will probably hit it.

However if someone has a different front suspension setup such as a 2nd gen swap or fully tube-frame chassis this would work.

I might consider buying this if you bring the price down. email me and we talk about it omid@bcrx7.com

Cheers,
Omid

Will somebody kill this post in the 1st gen section.

IT WILL NOT FIT IN A stock RX-7 car. It is made for tube chassis cars also know as a RACE car. Or a sand rail.

PLEASE SOMEBODY MOVE it.

yes lots do. but to tell you the truth there is not much need for an aftermarket oil pan.

Plenty race 1st gens, but this is for a 13b and the car is TUBE FRAMED.

Plus you can get a extra capicity moroso oil pan that will fit in a stock frame Rx-7 with 13b for $280 with free shipping.

Sorry you got stuck with it, maybe 1 day somebody will buy it.

yeah man, this is completely off-topic anyways...

post it in the for sale section, bump it up there, and post it on the parts trade and E-Bay

but don't flood the first gen section with advertisements for your stuff for sale... it's just not cool....
