New GSL-SE Owner - well not yet....
Hello Forum!
Just wanted to do a quick intro...looking forward to learning and meeting some of you fellow rotary heads.
I just bought basically my dream car...literally. Since I was 15 y/o with a permit I have always wanted a 1985 GSL-SE RX7. it took over 15 years and now at the OLD age of 34 I have one. I have not picked up the car yet, I need to get the money from the bank and will probably pick it up this week. Here are the specs:
1985 GSL-SE
White with grey int
100K
2nd owner (he owned it for the last 22 years)
All stock except a CD player he installed a while back.
No accidents but a Earl Shieb repaint about 4000 miles ago
typical dings and scratches
new battery, plugs and brakes
new tires about 6000 miles ago
and according to owner, no known problems, the car runs like a top!
Pretty much going to be my daily driver and fixer upper. I cannot wait to begin modding it like I was 18/19 again!
I will snap some pics as soon as I take delivery and get her all washed up. So I will update this post.

Before any of the older timers get here: Welcome to the dark side.
Not sure why it's the dark side because I'm happy with my girl, even if she is a bitch sometimes.
Maybe it's because once you start working on it you won't stop until it's too dark to see without a floodlight.

aah yes I remember working in the DARK...ahhahaa. I remember bench pressing tranny's in the middle of the night and pumping oil into the LSD in my driveway too!
This is not my first FB...so I know what I am getting myself into. My first car in HS was a 1979 RX7 Limited, I crashed that one and got a 1981 GSL, then bought a 1984 GSL, then had a 1990 Vert....in between that I had a RX2 race car...
so like I said..this SE is a dream fulfilled for me.

My '85 is great but the previous owner didn't love it very much and I have a lot of little things to fix/change that should have been done a long time ago.
Also, welcome back to the dark side then.

Congrats on your score. GSL-SE's in good/great condition are hard to come by. I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I bought my 85 GSL-SE in 1994 from the original owner with 53k on the odometer. It was my d/d for 13 years (it's semi-retired now.) It is still a "head-turner" and I still love driving it. It never let me down or left me stranded in those 13 years. Been coast-to-coast with it and would not hesitate to make the same trip today. Enjoy the experience!
