New door/hatch, and all rubber.
Is there a good place to get new door rubber? I just got a 79' and it will let water in from all over. Years ago I got new rubber for my 83' from Black Dragon, and the outside widow rubber channel (I think that's what it was called) was short by 2-3 inches. They would not replace, and it was just old stock and shrank id guess. But they would not even send me a 3rd one to splice in for both sides. Black Dragon seem they are gone now too?

Black Dragon is no more.
I have bought most of my spares from Mazdatrix, and they have treated me very well for many years.
Arguably, if you walk in to your Mazda dealer, you can order all your door seals, since these are still available. Advice doing so with part numbers since you might get some looks from the Kids behind the counter...
Or
ebay sells these all the time, both OE and aftermarket (at least for the main outer door seals). Quality may vary tho, but certainly cheeper.
Since the easiest way (for me) to install all the seals was to pull the door panels, that is a great time to get inside the door to, and hunt down and mitigate any rust, unplug the drain holes (!) and relay the window winder mechanism. I even thru in some sound deadener panels too.

There was a somewhat recent thread that talks about the door seal issue. I think Ray Green has some experience with this if I'm correct.
Try to buy factory parts when available. Be cautious of some Rotary sites that show a factory OEM part number but the parts are not OEM. MadazTrix does not fall into this category and is a good source. Find the part numbers and try a local Mazda dealer. They will not have the part number in their system past 1986.

+1 the dealership parts catalog starts at 1986, but they can still get the parts. we've been yelling at them for this (lots of parts aren't in the catalog), but they just don't see why its a problem

I would go OEM if you can. I it more $$ but I figure you will have perfectly fitting seals for another 20 or 30 years, so why not.
The outer door window seal is no longer available, so Rays link to Atkins replacement is a good bet.
Mazda can still get many parts for these cars. Like others have said just bring the part numbers you need.
I have ordered dozens of OEM parts from my local dealer, parts usually come in a few days.

I bought these about 8 months ago, worth a check to see if the guy still has inventory to move. Very good quality, plus you can get all sorts of other stuff that's NLA for the FB while you are paying for aussie shipping. Really was quite reasonable.

I bought my door seals about a year ago from Rock Auto; same link that Ray posted. They've been working fine ever since, although I slightly goofed the installation of the passenger side one so it pops out occasionally when the door gets stuck. Depending on the price of the Mazda ones I'd recommend considering the set from RA - for just over $60 I can't complain.

Awesome think you all for the help! I was really looking forward this 79' and getting to play with another 70's Mazda. Now its just waiting on parts game. I have been out of the game for about 3 years, so a refresh is all in order!

I got the door seals, and hatch seal from rock auto a few years ago which worked fine. Last year I bought another door seal from rock auto, the box had the correct part number on it, but the wrong seal. I used adhesive backed weather stripping (several layers) successfully.
I hope you don't have to gerry rig it like I had to.
