New clutch needed, what do you think?
So, the rex needs a new clutch, BAD. It hardly moves from a stop uphill. So, a few questions for you guys:
The clutch shop down the road wants 325, parts and labor, but I can get one from rx7.com for 150 and put it on myself. How hard is it to do? I've read the Haynes manual, and it seems straight forward, but I've never pulled a trany before.
Is it worth it to go with a higher performance clutch? The car is stock, save a K&N, so it's not putting tons of power out. I do drive it hard, but is the stock clutch sufficient?
Thanks in advance!

imo its worth it to put extra $ into a clutch. a stock clutch willl last just fine. but i would reccomend a slightly upgraded presure plate like there street/strip setup. it will have the same engagement as a stocker but will hold alot more and you can slam shift it
