New Bling and Things
#26
I did have it the last time we talked, but i have ditched it since then, as I wasnt happy with it.
I switched to a Moddifed Nikki From Sterling. Those are what the jets are for.
Once I upgrade my fuel and Ignition system I will begin to tune with my wideband.

Yeah, MattG and I split on one of those "4 of all sizes" jet kits from Jegs/Summit.
After my first day's worth of driving with the new intake, I've gotta say that I'm impressed. I really didn't expect to feel much of a difference since my engine is still a stock-port 12a and the carb makes so much difference on it's own.
But it definitely gave me some feel in the butt-dyno, so I'm happy with it. It pulls harder near the end of the primaries, and it really seems to have extended how far up the tach the primaries will pull. It defintely pulls harder all the way to 5k. At 5k I open the secondaries and it's like I'm driving an N/A rocket-ship (at least in comparison to how things felt before the manifold, carb and RB exhaust!). And I haven't even started jetting yet!
For now, that's about all I can figure about it. Unfortunately my problem of the car not wanting to come back to idle still exists. It won't idle at ALL with the proper sized "slow primary air bleeds" in place (metric 180s) but with a set of secondary slow air bleeds in there it will idle when sitting still. But while I'm driving when I come to a stop it still wants to die unless I pull the choke or feather the gas to keep it going.
It's not a vacuum leak, I'm pretty sure now. The manifold is blocked off properly in all the right places, I installed it with a brand new gasket and made sure that the mating surfaces were perfectly clean of any old material. I've got a gasket on either side of the carb spacer as well, and all ports on the spacer are blocked off except the one running my vac advance. On the manifold, the only open spot is the one I use for my PCV valve.
I'm going to get a new set of floats, just because the fuel level in the rear bowl is way too high and I haven't been able to adjust it down any.
In any case, the mysterious right-hand-turn stumble is gone, thank god. Here are some pics of my finally completed (but needing to be tweaked/tuned) Intake and Exhaust SYSTEM
From top to bottom:

Racing Beat Street Port Exhaust System
Viewed from Top:
Holley 1-4psi FPR
ReSpeed Quick Disconnect for Fuel Pressure Gauge
Not Shown:
Mallory Comp 70 Fuel Pump
And for timing, I threw in a pic of the super-megaawesome powdercoated pulleys that trochoid made for me. Those timing marks are absolutely unmistakable.

Edit: Sorry for the crappy quality of the pics. My camera isn't the best.
