Funny part is I already had a side and rear skirt kit I was set to install when this came up. The fact I'm only 10 minutes from their main offices closed the deal.
The best part is they are listening to the comments. The end result on all pieces will be somewhere between where they started and the recommendations in this thread.
Since the community had a hand in it's design, I hope their efforts are embraced with orders. I expect there will be some sort of limited time introductory price to this forum. But, I have no idea what it might be or list price of the total kits or individual parts other than what anyone might guess from surfing through their web site.

it needs to be raised on the sides, It looked better before the change at that hight IMHO. it would look right with the sides higher though. the area by the rear lower section of the door could be smoothed in so as not to look like the door was too far in. has there been any changes to the rear yet? it looks more like a mustang bumper than the fc kit it was to be based on. I still say something that looks like a rx8 bumper would look good and fit the kit. It would have the line breaks on the sides that would flow with the side skirts and still have the curved line to flow with the 1st gen design as well as the size needed to balence the front. unless the goal is to have a dupl of the fc kit for the 1st gen. If so fix the rear to match the fc kit and raise the sides to the belt line of the 1st gen. how far do the sides go up on the fc kit? from the pics it looks like it goes to the belt line. if the goal is to have a kit that updates the 1st gen and appeals to a broader group of people relook at the sugestions here and at the other boards do some minor reshaping of the front openings loose the smile effect go to something a little more agressive looking with out going over the top, name it, and sell it or do both then you will have two kits to market.

Like some one else mentioned. they should produce some fender flares I would guarantee they would be a big seller. People on the forum are always asking where they can get them. Make two flavors, mild for the classic lovers and wild for those who want the all out boy racer look. Matching front spoilers would also help.
I'm not a big fan of body kits, but I think this one definitely needs some type of fender flares. All that effort to look racy and then skinny tires (or tires sticking out the sides) looks kind of pathetic.

No update of substance received since last post other than they had completed their work and I'd have my cr back with body kit mounted sometime next week. I'll post pictures when I get it back.
From conversations, the back end is reportedly much much tighter to the car, but still following the basics of the original design. All pieces are the same height from the sides. Otherwise, it's just wait for the pictures.

Not quite done yet.
I did get it back for a couple days. But it is back with Extreme Dimensions as it still isn't in final form. Kind of like a framing carpenter got it to this point, but now it's going to the finish carpenter to clean up the edges and lines.
Didn't get a chance to take any pictures. But the only real difference between where it's at now from the pictures already in this thread is the fake moldings on the front and rear bumpers have been eliminated in favor of a smooth finish.
The rear bumper design is still in a bit of flux. Tightened it up to the body pretty good, but still some minor design issues to resolve. Just some minor tweaking left on the front bumper and side skirts remain.
By the way, the guy to talk to at Extreme Dimensions in Fullerton about this kit is Jeff at extension #13. Nice guy. Feel free to give him a call with your comments and maybe be put on a list so your contacted as soon as it's ready for your purchase.

In for pics of the final product, and prices. Very glad they made the front and back full replacements. I hate the side skirt "scoops," but would probably enlarge them and make them functional if at all possible. I'd much prefer a smooth surface there without the "scoop."

i think is very weird that any company woud try to make any kind of body kit for such an old car... as far as I know there are only a few body kits for our cars / toys...
I really like to stock look but I decided for a body kit... The kit is going on my 85 SE.. my 83 GLS will remain stock...

I knew that.. but at this time??? no other manufacturer is doing that as far as i know... In fact mot of them have a nice little sign that says: " DISCONTINUED" right next to the body kit of the 1st gen... and if they dont have that then all of them are replicas on one another.. meaning there is no variety...

Update
Kit is now available for purchase: http://www.extremedimensions.com/9193.html
My car is now at the body shop where typical body kit tweaks are being done as well as painting. Here are a few pictures, more to follow perhaps sometime next week.
Sidenote, I upsized my wheels to 16's since last pictures. Too good a deal to pass up, and believe they fill the wheel wells much better. Also, so all know, I'm running Racing Beat springs. So the kit is sitting a bit lower to the ground than what stock springs would provide.
Extreme Dimensions is planning on holding an open house at their Fullerton location I believe sometime mid-September. I'll have my car there in finished form for all to see.

The tweaking on the front and sideskirts is done, thus pictures.
Rear bumper pics next week as it's tweaking isn't done yet. But it looks much like the 2nd gen version of this GP style kit this kit is modeled after. Primary difference is it's designed for single exhaust rather than double for the obvious reason.
What I really like is how tight the kit fits to my car. There is no double stick tape being used on anything you see in the pictures.
Side note, you can buy the front bumper and side skirts without buying the rear bumper. Remind, I have connection with this company other than they used my car as the test mule for this kit.
