I've been watching and reading and I have to say I'm glad to hear of strengthening the front lip. I'm also glad to hear its going to be a complete re-skin for the front and rear. I think by the end of this, Ryan and Extreme Dimensions will have nice looking product on their hands. As far as the hood goes, I know they want to make a TII style hood, potentially because its easier, and it does look good, but I have to agree with kuhlrx7. We need function more than looks at this point. If you have a body kit already, then your not looking to keep the image of the factory. Something louvered would be great and functional. I beleive you will sell more function than looks when it comes to a hood. The only addition to this kit to include the hood would be to make in Carbon Fiber.

Ryan, I know your watching and reading this, good job. I'll call you next week.

no no no....not custom fit, how bout some that are MADE to fit.......c'mon people (who can make and mass produce them) lets get on this, i know that they are availiable mostly in australia and japan but are still rare.....they usually cost about 2-300 for a set, WAY!!! cheaper than any kit. they are classic and "timeless" they will ALWAYS look awesome, most body kits on the other hand nnnnnnnnnot so much.........although the front airdam is pretty dope though LOL..

Well, hold onto that excitement. When you're celebrating the 4th of July, you'll also be celebrating the kit being available for purchase.

Since you're tight with them,

Perhaps you can convince them to make a GOOD, STRONG, QUALITY, REINFORCED Fiberglass Hood (with a centered TII scoop) that uses the original mounting hardware.
THAT - would fly off the shelves more than any body kit.

Right now, the only option is Demonspeed. And if this is the picture (below)
they use on their website, then I don't even want to see the original product.

Is that the hood Bernie has on his 1st Gen?

I do know that a Carbon Fibre TII scoop type hood 1st Gen hood is already on their to do list. But, won't be available until probably early next year. I'll mention about a lower cost fiberglass version.

I see why you're being specific on a centered hood as that would be best position to feed cool air to a carburator'd intake. But wouldn't it be better to have an offset on so it would line up with a stock TII intercooler for all those TII swapers out there? Especially since a centered scoop verions is already available.

Myself, I'd like to see either version also make available some underhood bolt on kit that would plumb cold air to a GSL-SE located Air Box.

Comments?

Nice kit. I love the front end, but the side skirts need to change a little and the rear needs to be totally revamped. The changes were pretty well outlined by others already.

On a side note, what kinda price we looking at for this kit?

wait wait wait.....what kit are we talking about here..........the one with the green hood or the original one that started this thread......sorry guys if i got lost but im kinda drunk rite now soooooooo..........hopefully you can understand....but the one with the green hood is doper than than the original ....but if the originall is going to go into production then i think that only the front bumper should go on sale.......that seems to be the "ONLY" thing that most readers can agree on.......oh and the fender flares ....LOL !!!!

Sorry guys but i don't think this type of kit is very attractive on the first gen. These attemps to update the body lines of the first gen are completely lost on me. I understand the need for the air dam at higher speeds - the FB front ends lift like mad over 100 but the side and rear skirts just totaly skrew up the dimensions of the car.

Unless the kit is a wide body inthe spirit of the old IMSA race cars i'm not a big fan.
