your right, thats exactly what my grandmother told me. Still do fully understand why he did it but your absolutely right! so i just got in from the garage rite now n the sos pads with thinner worked pretty damn good.i had to put masking tape with duct tape on top of that just to make sure the thinner didn't penetrate. But no swirl mark scratches even with a little more pressure applied than i wanted to( epoxy overspray was pretty tough)! wiped it down with windex and newspaper and looks better than before! also got the seals off the door and got the new seals in the trunk along with door handles ready for tomorrow when i take it to the shop. Looks like shes gunna make it guys, its back on track!

Trying to understand why dumbshits do dumbshit things is a waste of brainpower and probably lowers your IQ over time.
Generally, even the dumbshits themselves don't know & can't explain why they do this stuff - - there's no rational thought process involved, kinda by definition.
Which generally means the only way they can 'learn' not to do it is to make the result of doing it highly painful in some way, evey time they do it. Economically, usually, or by taking away something else they may value.

yeah it is a waste of time thatll ony **** me off in the end! On the brighter side of things tho, i do get my car back tomorrow from the body shop n i found through some old pictures on the web and in magazines that my mirrors have a satin looking finish( not to glossy) so ima ask the painter what kind he would recommend for that material. On the darker side of things its guna cost 100bucks to file a small claims suit, but i guess he pays for all that after i win( which will no doubt happen!) damn everything costs a **** ton of money these days!

Once upon a time my brother totaled my immaculate 85 GSL while I was deployed joyriding it with his friends.
He took it to a race track, twisted up the front subframe, broke something loose in the rear end, somehow filled the wheel wells and fenders with sand, and then he had it towed by one of his moron friends out of a ditch he got it stuck in, further destroying the front end.
I took him to court, and he was forced to sell everything he had to buy me a "replacement". To my pleasure, it turned out to be a red gslse ^___^
But yeah, if the law would have allowed me to kill my brother when i found out, I would have beaten him to death on the spot. God knows I wanted to.

holy **** man that blows! i feel for you man, sucks that thats the way it had to go down cuz there never is really a "replacement" when it comes to these but thank god you got another one and stayed in the game! And its an SE!!! and at least the law recognized this and made him pay, otherwise yeah a severe beating would have been the way to go!

Sorry I just now came across this thread, as I am a paint and body man by trade.
Looks like you have its all sorted out now.
You can use this on your mirrors, trim and etc. Its not top of the line, but it is pretty good for an aerosol can product.
SEM Products :: Trim Paint
Any automotive paint supply store should have it or something similar.
