need some draw thru help

Well I got a draw thru setup for my 12a. All I really need is help with the carb. What carb should I get for this, where should I start with the jets (tad on the rich side) to start tuning it. Also, what do I need to do about the coolant lines that run through the stock intake mani, since its going to be an aftermarket mani?

thankyou for the help, finding straightfoward answers have proven difficult

Is this a preexisting kit or homebuilt setup? I have the CarTech draw thru kit installed and can help you siginificantly if that is what you have.

For the intake coolant ports, you can install 20 mm freeze plugs in the housings, Clean the housings very well, they may need a light touch with sandpaper to remove any rust/corrosion deposits. I add a bit of JB-Weld to the housing lip, then another coat around the joint after tapping the plugs about 1/16-3/32" past the housing face.

Yes, you can do that, but if your are keeping this setup permanently, the freeze plugs eliminate a potential leak and maintinance issue over time. I install freeze plugs on all of the aftermaket intakes simply for peace of mind and it allows me to remove the carb and intake as a unit, without having to drain down the cooling system. The wrap around carbs are easier to remove from the intake when the unit is off the engine. Since I make my own gaskets, removing the intake is not a problem.
