while we are on the topic of airdams...i was wondering

what type of fog lights do you guys use to fit into those holes on the 3 piece, and 3 piece original knock off air dams? do you just go find something that just happens to fit, or is there a common type out there that everyone uses?

i didn't know it was factory... I learn more and more everyday from yall. but as far as selling it not atm. I don't know if i am going to keep it or not. I just took the time the other day to re align it up so that it fit better... I don't like the fact that it is held with screws... so i though about riviting it togeather.

As for the fog lights... well i don't even know if mine works or not... need to get them hooked back up.

Here's the one I wish I could get: JSS. Still available from ERC in Japan, notice how it covers the entire bumper and sides for a super clean look:

Here was mine. It was stock and I thought I wanted a kit. I bought the bumper and had it installed, molded and painted. I liked it right up till I saw another stock FB and wanted to go back immediately.
Dont remember where I got it, and might have liked it with the skirts and rear, but nah.
Anyways:

I can not deny the downforce capabilities of this dam, I could literally feel the nose dip at high speed, but I like the stock look better.

Still have my old three piece. The Fogs are made by Bosch Not sure if they are anything special, just driving lights.. I kinda like the way the prev owner blacked out the openings...

@DarthRotary - trade you for my stock front? plus cash. Looks very new age. Deff would need skirts + rear skirt/bumper extension.

On another note, has anyone fabbed up any lips from different cars to fit their fb?

example.. I used a Chevy s10 front lip on my notch 84 200sx.

Hey, Gemini - we should get together sometime, being we're both in PHX. My -SE wore this Kamei airdam until I replaced it with same as yours:

Looking good, guys,

Hey guys, if you are looking at something a bit racy then you should try the Group C front bar.
The bumper part at the top is the same as the factory Mazda one so they ribbed part is the same on both the front and rear bumper, and it fits in the hole the same as a factory one should. Then on the bottom it is a just a bit pretty flat lip. There is more then enough room to run a bigger alloy splitter if you want it for racing, but even as it is its still got a large wing area at the bottom.

Obviously the photos of the bar, its just resting on the drums under it so its not sitting in the correct place but you get a general idea of what it looks like. I have now pulled the cover off the standard bar and have the steel insert mounted to the car and the bumper fits right on top. Due to this steel part being to heavy i am going to make my own probably by cutting most of the steel pieces away and fibreglassing it to the remaining steel parts.
Im not sure if you can get these bars in the USA but they are pretty common over here in Australia

I will try and find some more pictures of the bar when they are painted, cause its a bit hard to see when they are dark
Cheers

I'm going to put mine up again seeing as my old link has gone dead.
Unfortunately these Ultima kits are no longer being produced. Fortunately I'm hoping they go up in price so I can sell mine. Still having issues finding wheels that don't rub the front.

And an older photo of one of my other cars that I used to own. This car no longer exists in this state and was pulled apart for some reason or another.

Custom. SAs are pretty easy. Cut out a piece of sheet and roll the ends and edges to match the stock mounting points and add stiffness, the cut out and roll for the oil cooler relocation was extra. It's a little too low, so plan to trim the bottom and finish it off with flexible rubber to maintain it close to ground level for the aerodynamic benefits of an airdam.

Mariah Mode-4, which has clean lines, all fiberglass construction, aluminum mounting bar, and big cutouts for driving lights or as in this picture - cutouts for brake cooling ducts which lead straight to the factory ducts on the -SE:
