Question Need help with louvers and fuel sender

Can somebody post pics of the hinges that hold the louvers onto the top of the hatch glass? Thanks in advance.

I've also got a fuel sender, for an 85 and I need to know what the three wires are for. PLEASE send me some information. All I know is that one goes to the 'low fuel light' and the other to the 'gas guage'.

OK, that's what I was thinking, but - on the connector, which wire is the ground and which one of the other wires goes to the gauge and which to the light?

Yeah one is ground the other is the impedance to the fuel guage and the other is the impedance to the gas light. I forget which is which. But if you have a meter its not hard to figure out... Also in the Haynes manual it tells ya in the schemetic.

Oh cool! Now, about the ground. It's coming off of the part that gets screwed down onto the tank, correct? I believe that my old one actually had a prong for a ground that was connected to the same location - this one just has a wire that was soldered to the ground, with the prong taken out.

What's the best way to clean this sender up (rust).
