you need to either make it pass, or go racing...

ref is fun too, cause it needs all the stock emissions on it.

First of all, learn to speak somewhat proper English. I'm no English major, but damn, you need to sound a little more intelligent. If you got the ticket because you pulled emissions stuff from under your hood, you did it to yourself. This is only ONE of the reasons why you should keep that stuff on your car. Do you honestly not give a damn about the environment so much that you would do that. You get what you deserve.

Well if the cop did his job, and he can tell in court that you had no emmissions, then nothing, your gonna pay and learn. The only thing you might be able to do is have a lawyer and/or get a plea to lesson the fine/ticket. Proving that you dont drive it anymore may help that also. Other then that, you'll need a lawyer.

In most cases if you put the emissions back on it. Ad show prof of it in court they will drop the fine. Like I said in most cases.

HAHA this thread is funny.

Basic bolt on are illegal in Cali like a header or changing your carb for our 1st Gens. So regardless what you do if you want any power out of your car its most likely not going to be legal.

So who cares if he took the stuff off its not a big deal.

What exactly does your engine bay look like, what have you done to it.? My advice is to just put all the stock equipment back on the car (hope you still have it) like complete exaust, air pump, rats nest, carb. I doubt he could actually tell you engine was moddified but whatever.

If you put everthing back to stock and pass smog, because thats what they wil be testing when your there as well as all the visual stuff, youll be fine.

If you know anyone that has a stock first gen just swap everything out, go do the test then swap it all back. If you dont want to do any of it just pay the fine non-opp the car and then you can turn it into a real beast for the track.

Wacky seems to have a few fb maybe he has some stock parts you could use/buy.

Good Luck

I thought an emmisions equipment ticket was only a fix it. The cool thing about a fix it ticket is you don't have to fix it. You can pay $80 instead. I did this for my two noise violations in my BP13B RX3 when I lived in California. The second time they were mad that I had not fixed it, but the $80 worked again.

I got 3 fixits once in my RX7 with the same motor in it. No front plate, noise, & no cat. I was sweating it too, but I got lucky. Only the first line item got entered on the ticket. I put my front plate on and everything was cool.

Don't you have an emissions test every year... What do you do...take it off...put it back on...

I don't see the problem...Put the emissions back on... Sounds like to me your looking for a way out of the speeding ticket by throwing in the emissions stuff...

Dude- you were speeding... pay the fine...

Emissions- In Georgia- very strict also- (not as bad as cali)... but our cops are not aloud to make a judgement on if you do or do not have equipment. You either pass every year...or fail... My guess is cops dont go running around cali asking everyone to pop their hood and see if their air pump is there...

Come on dude- you "F$%Jd.... yourself..." ... In your words...

btw- how old are you?

Also- one last thing....

LEARN HOW TO SPEAK CORRECT ENGLISH

Guys,
You guys are blowing my chance to get extra parts. Tell him that is fucked for life and should junk it.

J/K. My buddy got popped also in his FB with 13-B streetport and IDA (tall airhorns with no filter). He paid the fine for altered smog and didnt have to go to a referee. He still drives to date.

first-off, i agree with rx seven, chill the f*** down. 2ndly, do you live in a "test once" area, or a "test every two years" area? I bet if you put a new cat in, hook up a couple of the hoses, and tune it properly so it will pass an emissions test, you'll be fine. I don't see why you can't do that? or come to that conclusion? Why would you try and pull some crap like selling it and buying it back or anything else that could get you a felony charge or something crazy.

Dude i know i need to chill out with the speeding, i got a heavy foot haha......i already got 2 ref tickets but they were exhaust tickets, those are a piece of cake i can deal with those but as far as emissions, the car has to be put back to original to pass both the visual and smog test.......and in my case i will fail!.......and i live were you have to smog the car every two years(i got that to)......but i know theres a way around this ref sign off.....i've heard lots of thing but the thing is i dont know if they work......

My question is why did you pull the emissions in the first place? I have no emissions on my 7, but that's because 1) I don't live and a tested zone 2) Don't drive the car very often 3) Bought the car this way and 4) It's planned to become a track car. Why don't you just take the time to get some emissions systems back on, installed by an approved shop, and show them the reciept. It's not like it's going to hurt your performance having them on there unless you have a built engine, which I doubt you do. I don't even think they will test your car if you bring in proof that you had it fixed.

one of the kids at work had to go to the ref, and he had to put his car (sr20 s13) back to stock. basically the ref is going to look at all the smog equipment (air pump, acv, the 8 vacuum lines...) and then smog the car. its really not a big deal, and except for the cat you're not loosing any power either

I was going to be the first poster on this thread but I didn't have the hart to tell this punk he is a dick head. Do you all think he might have ran his mouth at the police officer & at that point the police officer asked him to open his hood? If he has learned anything from this thread I hope it's that he is a long shot from being anywhere near normal that he begins to square himself up a bit.

ps: I looked at all the signatures within this thread & I am the only person who uses a real name.

Actually yeah, jujubing I actually care about the environment. Sure I drive a rotary, but why not try to minimize the hell I'm causing for the environment by leaving on the emissions stuff? I don't see why you would ever do that. You gain a whopping, what, 1-2 HP by doing that? I could be wrong, but I don't think the gain is much at all. NOW you are having to deal with all this stuff because YOU decided to remove the emissions. What were you expecting from us, a secret way around the system? Deal with it. Learn from this, put your emissions back on, and continue with your life. Having the emissions off isn't going to keep you from having your *** handed to you by a Corvette.
