Need Help !!

- of the 2 coils which is leading and which is trailing ?

- I have gas dripping out of my exhaust pipe, where it joins
the manifold. Is this just the unburnt gas being pushed out ?

- after trying for a while to start the engine the battery and the - cable
are hot what might cause this ?

- it seems to be doing nothing but just cranking over could this be timing
or the carb?

- I have bought new spark plugs (almost $6 each), new distributor cap
had the battery and alternator checked both good, still nothing what could
be my problem ?

- and sometimes the carb will start to fill with gas what is happening here lol ?
(gas will collect in the bigger 2 holes)

sorry if this is posted twice I coulden't find my first one lol, so i posted this one

- one more question I took my battery and had it charged and checked but it
runs down in like 10 - 15 mins how do check to see why this is happening ?

I believe the coil closest to the headlight is trailing. It has two leads going to the negative side, right?

Was the car running, then not start one day? After heavy cranking, the battery and cables could get hot..

There could be a lot of reasons why it won't start.. Sounds like no spark, though..
Verify your leading wires go to the bottom plugs, and rotor 1 is the closest to the front.

Carb. I had the same problem. My floats were bad too so the bowls filled up with gas. You more than likely need to rebuild the carb and get new floats.

Well it just wouldn't fire up. It would crank and crank and crank but nothing. It just sucked my battery down. When we finally did get it fired up, it ran really bad and wouldn't idle or anything. I gotta donor carb and kinda combined the two. Mine still needs rebuilt but it runs half decent now
