i have an 83 rx7

and it has stock 13s on it with the stupid boly pattern of 4x110!

if u own a 1 gen u kno its near impossible to find that bolt pattern.

i want 15's, some watanabe wannabes "fast forwards"

what shouuld i do?

hub adaptors?..i think that make it too wide

replace the whoe axle with an axle from a later year rx7?

and lets rule out the idea of custom rims.

im a college student. on a budget

if anyone can tell me some hints and ideas that wouyld be great!

i see ppl rollin around with aftermarkets rims on their FB's and have no clue how they do it!

Nick182 has a sweet set of 15 inch wheels in the for sale section, that is where you need to look.

 

I have 15inch honda civic rims. (got them free) I was told that all I need to do is get the rotors redrilled to that bolt patern and I think you all so need 25mm spacers. I am going to put studs. but I am not going to do that intill I get tires for the rims and I mite need new rotors.

Search and you shall find all the information you would ever want on wheel selection for a 1st gen. But to sumarize, your choices are either find a used set of wheels in the 4x110 pattern, switch to the GSL-SE suspension and breaks which use a much more common 4x114.3 pattern, or use addapters on your current hubs to convert to any 4 bolt pattern you want. you can buy rs watanabe rs-8s in 4x110 still, RSW picked up production when SSR stopped making them.

If you're willing to change out the axles and struts to the GSL-SE, the 4X114.3 pattern opens up a wider variety of wheels. Another option is upgrading the front brakes with ReSpeeds big brake kit and redrilling the rears for the 2nd gen 5X114.3 pattern. By that time, things get quite a bit expensive. That will take care of braking and grip upgrades, suspension upgrades should be next on your list.

I got a nice set I am getting ready to let go of. 15x7 0 offset 4x110 pattern. I love them but after some thought I have decided to sell them.

I would reevaluate this statement, If you are on a budget why change the wheels.

true, true, wheels don't do much except look different. My car actually felt slower with the bigger, heavier rims.

do you have any pics of your 7? i would get addapters me and my dad are going to make some addapters so i can put on my honda rims and Because I found out redrilling your rotors can work but some one told me it is not a good idea.

 

howd they fit on your car i was planning on getting some axis old skools and they are 0 offset

 

I have a set of panasports that have the bolt pattern you have watanbes actually got their design from these. Im asking 500 obo for them gimme a call if you're iterested.

Sure, you can get the rear axles redrilled for a different bolt pattern, but not 5x114.3. There simply is not enough material on the axle flange for a bolt circle that big. I just got my axles redrilled for free (my dad and I did them at the tool and die shop he works at). I did a 5x108 bolt pattern to fit a set of rims that I already had and I used wheel studs for 2nd gen front hubs. The flange on the stud is just barely small enough to avoid interfering with the brake rotor. If you went with the 114.3mm bolt circle, there wouldn't be enough material to properly support a stud. The flange was made for a max of 110mm bolt circle.

 

I test fitted them today seem to be good. I test fited them bc i found out 1 was a different offset. Still couldn t tell a diiference unless you look really close.

 

Dude I would just go to kal tire or someone get them to fit tires for your car them find some rims get blanks and get them drilled to 4x110 thats what I am doing on saturday.

 

Apparently the Konig Rewinds are 0 offset.

The guy said they hang out of the guards a little (10mm or so)

Are there anymore of the 4x110 +20's left? Normal retail Rewind wheels are +40 in 4x100 PCD or 0 offset in 4x114.3
