In need of advice

I appreciate the color code reference.
The tool being used is made by several different companies now and accepts quite a number of materials for the precision cutting. I was drawn to it for making intricate cuts on HO Train cars which I like to hand build in balsa and basswood. Old passenger cars really are remarkable done with this machine.
The RX7 really had not gone far for the Air filter cover to be in such yucky shape, it's not a matter of just cleaning off an oily residue. The deposits feel like they may be more corrosion than I appreciate. I can feel that the lettering is in relief of the blue paint but I wasn't willing to just remove it without a solution. So we squared it up, photographed it and are loading it into the software which has 5000 different fonts so I suspect we'll find it. Then. I have a roll of White billboard tape we used as a sandblasting resist and we will try to cut it from that. The tool has a variety of cutting heads . The rest of the engine compartment really is pretty and this thing just makes it look bad when it should not.
I had not considered being a vendor of vinyl letters which I doubt will get me passage on the QE2. The first machine I saw is called the cricut3 if anyone wants to see what it's about. I think they have Youtube videos with it as well. It's not cheap at about $400 dollars not including some accessories that are nice. So far, I don't own it but my son had one brand and our neighbor who is encouraging all this has another. So, we'll try it both ways.

That thread on the air cleaner was incredible, thank you for the resurrection. I also went to the paint site and now have to go find the paint. I'm pretty sure my engine was actually painted in Ford Blue . The sunrise red I really want for some touch ups as few as it needs. ,
