This picture shows the wheels on my 1985 RX-7. I have only seen these wheels on this car yet they say Mazda on them. Can someone tell me where these wheels are from? Like a different Mazda car or model or are they some other thing!? Note these are 13" wheels but I just don't know where they are from.
Jeff

If this picture doesn't show up you can find pictures of my RX-7 on the internet at http://members.shaw.ca/jdleonard/mazda/mazda.htm and there is a pic of one of the wheels.

How rare is factory literature?

I have a 1984 "Mazda Assessories" pamphlet that shows all (maybey not all) parts that Mazda sold for RX7, 626, GLC, and B2000/2200. It list a IMSA kit which included front air damn, rear spoiler, and stainless steel roof band. It also list all those parts individualy, plus the aluminum alloy wheels, rear louvers, arm rest, cargo stopper, and car cover. Pretty neat. If anyone wants to see it, I'll try and get it scaned.

I also have the "Mazda RX7 Customer 10 Minute Maintenace Couse". Its kinda silly, but explains the task of maintaining a rotary.

129eleventeenfourty-sixwhatever, those wheels oyu have are from a very low base model '7. THey're stock Mazda steel wheels, 13x5", I believe.. those are pretty rare now, too...

Those are the stock wheels on the base model. Saw one the other day... whole car was nasty looking, but it had a straight body.. just dirty as hell. You could tell it was someone's "get around car" It had over 200k on it.

Let's see now....

I've got 4 '79 LE rims off of, wait for it...

My '79! Actually, I count my '79 as rare, because there aren't many SA's left out there.

I've got the factory manual for the '79, along with the owners manual and warranty booklet. I've also got the PDI checklist sheet from the original owner, along with all twenty five years of reciepts for work done, ranging from oil changes to body work.

Now that it's been mentioned, I have 2 rear bins with their hinges intact.

Guess I do have one or two things that are hard to find

i can easily find bins with hinges still attached at the yard... i'd say the SA is pretty rare.... here's rare... i found a check book in the back by the rear winshield fluid bag in my GSL-SE... left by the previous previous owner... it had $5 bucks in it too... threw the checks away since it was like 12 years old and keep the $5 bucks

i have an owner's manual for every car i have. i also have 1 unbroken storage bin lid, lol. also have a wheel bolt wrench bag (the little brown one) for my LS and my SE. i also have an unused spare for my LS which is actually a real rim and it is gold like the other rims and has the original bridgestone tire with white lettering, never used! the jack in that car has never been used. i have the factory floormats for the LS. they are a greenish gold color and say RX-7 on them. i also have factory red floor mats for my SE, which say RX-7 as well.

About the rarest part I have is the owners manual and the original rubber piece that holds the rearview in place.
I've got an SA with the original manual, and the original touch up paint(I doubt it's any good now, but it's still fun to say that I have 24 year old original touch up paint)!

ok just sitting here thinking....what is the rarest car(fb) part you have or have seen. Im not talking about a custom 1 off thing.... like the purple barney body kit or my headlight kit. I personaly have the chrome luggage rack bar peice that goes right behind the back of the seats on the metal bar in the hatch area. Its made to hook the stock straps to and it helps keep the bags from flying forward. I think the RAREST thing i have seen is a hard hatch cover like a fc and fd have.... it was on ebay. it hooked to the struts so it opened when the rear hatch was opened and it covers the hatch area from prying eyes.
anyone have pics of that chrome luggage rack? i have never seen one before! i also have the all metal key for my LS. pretty neat stuff.

wow thats wierd. My parts car was the same exact car as the white one with the same rims. it had a sticker on the passenger side rear window about some award it won that year. Right now its parked in my friend's driveway in NC, I told him to do the same thing to the wheels and run it on his SA. Now he is planning on running those rims on the front and Longchamp XR-4's that he picked up when he was back in Okinawa, Japan on the rear.
