Naked photos...
I knew that would get you pre-verts in here! Well here they are, pictures of my SE stark naked - no louvers, side or rear (or "those shutter things" as one dude so aptly put it!) and no rear spoiler lip. Since I removed the spoiler to repair it after the turkey attack (see https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=239181 ) I decided to take it all off and rework everything...
As you can see, with everything removed it is f'ulgy! Castrated, neutered... no *****! Plain Jane.
With everything on, as my sig so brilliantly shows , it has ***** - looks like the mean **** it is! Aggressive, a hunter, a... PREDATOR!
Oh yeah, for you eagle-eyed dudes - the little square patches are duct tape covering the mounting holes to keep the rain out.
The spoiler repair went well and I'll stick a photo up here when I get it all back together again... In the mean time, keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down...

I'm with Manntis on this one. These cars look classic without the louvers, although the stock spoiler is subtle enough to look good rather than rice.
But a decent hatch and quarter window tint will keep the ultraviolet from attacking your interior while being much easier to clean than it would be with louvers.
If any of these cars has a good shot at going up in value by a substantial margin over the next 5 to 10 years it's mint-conditioned un-modified SE's.

I know most of you don't like the louvers. And some don't like the OEM spoiler. Well... my wife doesn't like my mustashe, so I told her not to grow one like it!

Personally I like the "plain jane" look myself too. But on your car the spoiler does look pretty badass. I've never really liked louvers on anything, but thats the beauty of this country; everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it is wrong.
