My Yugo can beat your RX-7!!
OK, so I don't have a Yugo. Yet. I almost bought one new back in the day... Remember how CHEAP they were? Like 4k for a car? hehe...
Anyways. Betcha an old Yugo could be had cheap.
Wouldn't it just blow your mind to have some crazy old man in a Yugo ask you for a race, only to be beaten by that same crazy yugo driving fool? Then imagine seeing a S/C 12A under it's hood? hehe...
Anyone else ever had crazy ideas like this?
Post your strangest (*edit: or STUPIDEST!*) rotory conversion idea!!

i have wanted to build a go-kart and use a 1 rotor engine and gearbox from a suzuki motorcycle. i have wanted to do this for about 5 years now. a friend of mine bought a yugo for 400 bucks. it had 60K and change on it and ran like a champ. as far as a rotary in a yugo goes....

Not rotery convershon but...
Budy of mine had a VW bug back in MD with a Front Wheel Drive V8 in the rear of it. He had some wide DOT street slicks on it. I don't know alot about it other than the dam thing was very fast...he smoked our 289 - 4speed - 66 mustang.

You'll find all kinds of crazy conversions anywhere in
Puerto Rico. Suzuki Samurai's; Suzuki 3 cylinders (the
ones that came out in the early 80's, and even a bettle
with a 12a in the back, this one I had to go and see for
myself 'cause I didn't believe it.

love the braaaap
I thought about putting a 12a on a small go cart once. Then thought that 100hp is probably too much for a 200lbs go cart. Would go like hell though, if you could manage to get any traction.
Another interesting thing to do would be to put a peripheral ported 12A into a Mini. That would go like hell too, but you would have a little problem with grip again, just like the go cart.

Let's See:
- Rotary CRX
- Single Rotor Motorbike
- 6-rotor (or more) engine made of 10a parts revving to 12k with hardened stationary gears running some odd vehicle.. like a v12 Jag or something
And other various strange ideas have come out of my head from time to time. I really like the 10a, and just wish I could get my hands on a few... I'd LOVE to do a 3-rotor made with 10a rotors and housings, hardened stationary gears and custom-machined side housings like the Renesis.... It would turn a lot of rotorite heads, and be really small.

The Mini would be unreal. make it rear wheel drive, tubbed of course w/ weight over the back tires and make sure you slap some wheelie bars on that short *** light weight car
Im going to buy a new motor soon and Im thinking about putting the old motor in somesort of boat. I have a small pleasure boat now but......I don't want to die in that. I want to find something better, sell mine to find a nice old school(1950's) ski boat w/o a motor. then deck out the interior.

Rotary outboards were made by j.Deer I think, and there were rotary lawn mowers, and the rx234 line up. and rotary snowmobiles I think by evinrude. what is a 10a? also model airplane engines that were rotary, not a rotating engine. dont know about bikes. A rotary in a boat makes good sense , its vibration that kills wood boats, something like a cruiser would be neat. Also a rotary garden tractor wood be cool. the list goes on and on.

I just bought an old 82 vespa 3 wheel delivery truck. Me and 4 other friends are planning on putting my old 12a and tranny in there. I'm trying to figure what kinda differential to use. there is limmited space. aparently the owner was able to do wheelies with its stock 40 horse powe, i wonder what 100 hp will feel like. Atually one time he said his friend did a wheelie in an underground parking garage and got it stuck upright. I'll take some pictures when i get it home in a few days

If you had said "Hyundai", I would've believed you...at Kennedale last year, a guy brought his stock looking Hyundai down to the 1/8th mile track and was laying down low 9s....it was nitrous'd!! He had the 100,000 mile warranty so he didn't care. 15 or so passes into the night, that engine was well on its way to being "Ol' Smokey"....

This firm evolved from the workshop from Felix Wankel himself. It has been bought by another firm, but doesn't produce anything any longer.
If I'd have time and money I'd build a Lotus Seven style car, with a 13B or 12A bridgeport.
And then maybe a real serious bike? But all has been done before. So I might just buy a Norton bike...
I already have a front wheel drive rotary, so no point to build that, a rotary beetle for the wife, now that'd be cool!
