My points to electronic question
So I followed the instructions here: Mazspeed's First Generation Rx-7 Club Page
This seems to be the go to place for the points to electronic swap. Just wondering if I have it right according to this how-to and people that have done it.
I bypassed the two resistors and wire the black w/white wires on one end to the yellow and the yellow/black wires on the other end. The other two resistors (or the "one" big one with four connectors going into it) you disconnect and tape off the wires.
This is where I wasn't sure. I connected the existing factory harnesses to the coils. Along with that I wired the igniters directly to the coils too. Is this right? I know in the instructions it says to wire the igniters to the coils but wanted to make sure you are supposed to plug in the existing wires to the coils too.
I can't test it as I have a few more things to do to the engine.

Dunno.... Never tried converting. Points have been spectacular for me so far.
First thing I did when I got the Goose was put new points and condensors in it. The old ones worked fine, but I'm REALLY well aquainted with points on old bikes; and a $20 PM now beats a $50 tow and $20 repair later.
