Work looks good, but I would be worried about snagging it and ripping it all out, or even backing into something and crushing it. I would have used an upturned elbow right off of the sump and raised the rest of the components up and out of the way.
Dan S Young, is this what you had in mind for your tank mod? Not trying to steal your thread 81GSL12A, but I'm modding a tank for Dan and this looks to be exactly what he wants. Thanks for posting.
Btw, where did you buy the sump and what did it run you?

the reason for having the fule pump sitting so low is for better flow.. also there is not much room unless you mount it clost to the stock location and then you dont get as good of flow with a push pump trying to suck...
its a comp eng. rear sump i think it was around 70 bucks not sure i dont pay retail for stuff
also tomorrow i will show more pics of the rear sump i got some good close ups of the welds

You should be good mounting the pump on the frame rail where the cut/check valve is. Keep in mind that with the draw point from the tank you have now, the outlet will have some 'head' to it. No, not that kind. Head is a fluid dynamics, plumbing term that refers to the weight a liquid imposes due to it's height/level. In the stock setup, there is a negative head since it draws from the bottom of the tank to the top. The more fuel you have in the tank, the greater the head/weight/pressure will be.
With your setup, the pump has less work to overcome than drawing from the top of the tank.
More pics would be great, along with a link to where you bought the sump.
