My new Airdam
Went dwn to Miami and had my airdam installed, This was made buy the same guys who made my wing. Really happy with the end product.. (cost $200 install included for local buyers)
It does make a big differance in handling, On the way home i jumped on the turn-pike, The car seems to handle so much better at higherspeedsI was shallow and really thought it was all looks, Like my wing, I was wroung ..
sorry about the bad photo, sun is setting..

Looks very nice - the FAD you bought is the same one that Mazda engineers designed for the car, and was available through the Mazda Factory Store. In that regard, I think it fits the design of the car very nicely, and addition of a nice set of standard size rectangle driving lights really makes that FAD shine.
I had to mod my FAD to fit the round lights that I wanted; the end result was that the lights are vertically aligned with the main beams, and all white lighting is round in shape. I was going for a look, I guess you could say.
A quick shot here;

My 'splitters' are made of kydex, a flexible synthetic material used for all kinds of things. Since it's plastic, you can run it up on the occasional curb and it will flex or break the rivets, making repair very easy, and the biggest thing is that it won't damage the ABS airdam or cause paint to chip off from the lower edge. The rivets are attached through the splitter into the bottom of the FAD and have washers on the backside so that they'll rip out if they encounter any serious impact.
Kydex is a lot easier to cut and replace than ABS or buying a new airdam and having to have paint matched.
Now that you have a FAD installed, you should get used to parking with about an extra foot in front of your car and the curbs or parking blocks - it's only a matter of time before you whack something solid and then you'll be pissed!
I still request that my wife back into parking spaces that have parking blocks - she's managed to ding up the splitter more than once.

i've got the original 3 piece urethane air dam....exact same style...
it bends real easy and that should be a bonus, don't want to be fixing
a cracked airdam all the time. can't wait to install it.
