my new 1st gen

how do i go about getting my door locks rekeyed. i just picked up a 85 gs and the owner had one key. it works for the ignition but not the door locks.



body is like a 5 out of 10
motor is like a 9 out of 10
131xxx on the chasis and 80k on the motor.

Contact your local locksmith. It's usually cheaper to rekey a lock than to replace it. Most locksmiths do cars too.

Looks good. About the lock thing, thats pretty weird because our cars key is the same for the ignition and door locks. Good luck

Yeah, but if this car has had the ignition lock changed out the locks will no longer work on the same key.

Best thing to do is to remove the door locks and rear hatch lock. (an easy operation btw--- total of less than 1/2 hour). Take these three locks and the ignition key to a locksmith and say "please make these three locks work with this key."

It should cost less than $40 including taxes and the shop should be able to provide same-day service.
