Which screws are stripping out? Sometimes you can wrap a little wisp of steel wool around the screw and it will hold. Due to the configuration and position of the mirrors, don't count on it working. Vibration will probably loosen them again.

Is it the glass or the mirror it self? My mirrors are tight. They usually need to be retightened every spring. The mirror glass is another story... My glass vibrates like crazy always has. It is just the way car car is. I find the tiny mirrors usless anyway. Unfortunately mirror vibration is common on these cars it just the way they are...

It's most likly the mirror-glass: hold the mirror when you close your door or when ever you here the rattle, if it stops it's the mirror-glass.

If so here's what you do. Get a can of "great stuff" (expanding foam) drill a hole in the bottom of the rear view housing just big enough to get the "straw" into and spray A LITTLE BIT in, like just count to 2 and your done. Let it cure over night and you should have a silent rear view.

I did this to mine, over sprayed the foam and about an hour later I hear a loud *CRACK* I look around and the mirror shaterd, so be careful. Hope this helps someone if this isn't your issue
