My Headlights

i posted how i did the hood in my other thread, and i've yet to weigh all the junk that came out. my estimate is ~5lb total.
(at my stage of weight reduction, 5lb is quite a lot.)

took the hood off of my 79 last night and measured out how i wanted to cut out my vents. looks like yours but i did mine on both sides. all as i need to do now is paint it and put it on. i took befor, middle and after pics. i have them on a digital camera and will put them on my mod thread in 2 days. i like the hood and the lights. great job. how much weight did you reduce by doing the headlights like that?

oh btw, please make a write up on the procedures on how to make non-retractable headlights (fixed headlights) you got there.. i too am trying to achieve lightweightness on my fb..

I can't say I'd do the same, but good on you for trying something different
I'm confused - why do you need headlights for autocross? Why not just remove them entirely, or is this to be driven on the road as well?

the only problem i c with this is the housein you made to hold the light will cut the beam pattern on the sides of at night time.. have you tested this setup? i like the cp racing setup much better.. maybe do a similar mock up to that.. looks good though.. keep up the custom work
