custom its a regular wrap over dcoe manifold, but i welded 2 injector bungs to the manifold, and the throttle body is from an 80's vette, i will need to make an adaptor for it to work and somehow make the manifold boost proof, thanks MattG

ya im on bc rx7 names autopaul there too, what do you mean hows it better, its a 12a, it comes stock carberated so id say that makes it better, unless your thinking of how would it be better than stock 13b injection, then i dont know how much better it would be, maybe better flow,
or do you mean the motor, i did a rebuild cause i had a pressurised coolant system, also mild porting done, just to better the flow chartoristics without altering the sshape of the actual port, and shimmed my opr to what i hope will be about 100psi maybe a bit more,
i made it look nicer aswell with some polishing and painting, im going to use the 2nd gen aluminum waterpump and housings, sandblasted and or polished, and a mega squirt will be used along with my fi upgrade, which doesnt have much to do with my rebuild but thats why its bettter,

front cover is off cause im gonna sandblast it and or polish it, with the wieght reduction on my car it should be down around 2000lbs or just over, thats my goal anyway, i think im pretty close, so it should be a blast, its gonna be a while before the whole car is done though, going to school full time, and being on a budget, still lots to do,

What i meant was how does a vette tb custom fit to a 12a and custom manifold benifit the whole setup.? it doesnt look like a stock carberated 12a unless im blind.

you bet toxic d, im all about the cheap setups, this intake and injector setup has actually been pretty expensive in the long run,
manifold and a mikuni44 came with a used 10k motor i got for 1100$$
the vette throttle body, was about 60$ off ebay, but i had to boost proof it, which cost about 2cents in rubber o rings,
the injector bungs are the expensive part, at 50$$ a piece i have 2 welded on but ive got the other 2 i just havent put them on yet,
so the whole setup is costing me about 260$$ plus the cost of the manifold, im gonna say its worth about 200 so i have a 400 dollar intake setup and im using a 350$$ computor to run it,
and "3times" im using a corvette tb cause i dont have any other tb to use, so i guess it benafits my pocket book,

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Is that matte black? Looks badass with the polished housings.
I like flat/matte black.![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Nice job on the 'Vette TB. I love ingenuity like that. Just don't tell anybody the new racecar I'm building has a Monte Carlo windshield....

I take it those bungs are a little odd looking because they prety much contain the injector completely other than the little opening for the wiring and fuel line? Now I dont really know much about FI but it doesnt seem typical to contain the injectors like that. Is there a reason for them being installed like that, or is that the easiest way to mount them in a custom intake setup. Looks very interesting, Im looking forward to hear more on the setup! Also whats the plan for the secondary injectors...lower down on the mani angled more directly towards the ports? Keep up the good work.

the corvette tb doesn't go right on im still gonna have to make an adaptor for it, aka about 1 inch too narrow for a webber style intake, if your on a budget i would get one of those cheapp plastic ones with 2 injector bungs already, i know someone on the forum has one and it cost him about 250$$ american, but depending on your budget i wouldnt start untill i had at least some moderafe funding, that way you can also get a descent engine management or have time to build a megasquirt efi,..
ive been thinking about making some adaptors that have injector bungs (less eloborate maybe) that go right from a webber style mani to a stock corvette tb , that way you can use gm sensors and the idle air compensator valve from it... it just seems smart... and could cost in total less than 200 i bet.. who knows.
