Yup, in the middle of a heavy intersection. That sucks. Anyway, thanks to the great haynes automotive manual, yes, its actually good for something, I've come to the decision that my fuel pump is bad. So I wanted your opinion on what is a good fuel pump to get. And where?
Should I spend a couple of extra bucks in a new filter, too? It seems ok but I dont know how old it is.
Thanks

Do your basic checks first. Fuel, Spark, Air cleaner.
I read your other post and all you apex seals sound to be good. So it doesn't sound like a compression issue.
Let us know which type of car you got. It makes a difference on the fuel pump/carburation/fuel injection issue.

Sorry treceb.... I replied to your other thread, but MyRxBad said the same thing I did.
Yes, you should change your fuel filter. It's very important, and it's cheap and easy to do.
The pump is all up to you on what you want to do with the car. Do you want to mod it in the future? If yes, then upgrade to a higher volume pump, and be sure to get a seperate regulator. If not, buy one from a parts store or the dealer.

Duh, stupid me thinking yall mind readers.
Yup, did the spark thing ask my friend that was quite a jolt he got. Air, too.
Its a 85 GSLSE with a cone filter and shy of 172K miles.
So whats a good performance fuel pump?? Or should i just get a regular aftermarket one. Go for a new filter too.
And yes I will most definately modify the car next year. A little of this and a little of that to make the car go fast.
thanks
