I say the magnaflow sounds awsome. I have a magnaflow muffler on a 3" system. Everyone told me it was going to be loud and sound real tinny and high pitched. Its quite the opposite in fact. It has a deep sound, deeper than RB, and its no louder than any fart can on a civic. Its just great sounding. Very deep.
Another thing I would suggest is if you don't have to have emmissions test done, get the longest presilencer you can find. I'm using a 30" long cherry bomb glass pack, but that will burn out in no time. I would suggest the magnapacks from magnaflow. They are the same design as the cherry bomb, but are all stainless steel construction, so they won't melt like a cherry bomb.

I personally have the Mangaflows, but in a Turbo configuration.
Also - Flowmasters suck on Rotaries - period.

would it be safe to install a cherry boom turbo muffler and drive it for 1 to 2 hours just to get the car saftyed or should i just leave the bad looking (rusty tip and missing one tip) muffler on and tell the guy that its a 300$ muffler and i plan on fixing it latter I just dont want to set my car on fire or kill the 12a with that muffler

Psh, who's run Flowmasters on a rotary? Anyone here? Especially custom Flowmasters? I have it on good authority that Flowmasters are awesome mufflers for rotaries, from people who ran IMSA and SCCA back in the 80's and street their cars with Flowmasters now.
No one has brought up Apex'I mufflers. N1's are a good investment.

I also have a Magnaflow muffler on my SA. It's very deep in tone, but very loud also. I guess it's no louder than a fart-canned Civic, but I was hoping for something a touch quieter.
Oh well, I'll get used to it in due time, I'm sure. Are the Primaflow mufflers a straight-through design?

I just ordered a magnapack to quite down my exhaust(rb race header collected to 2in piping into a fart can). I plan to use it as a resonator right after my collector. My fart can has somewhat burned out and gives this very loud metallic sound at low rpms but I think its great at 8000rpm. too bad the cops around here dont think so.
Thanks, Ed

you could do as me and remove the muffler all together and just run a two inch pipe to bring the exhaust out from under the car. That gives it a pretty mean sound

I use a flowmaster and dont like the sound of it. I do plan to change it to anything, i'm already thinking of something quiet being all it does is resonate and make it crack and rattle. If I go with a magnaflow, is there one that will be quiet till you womp on it?
