motor mount orientation

Do the two cutouts on the top of the motor mounts face up or down? Seems to fit best down. On the metal top of the motor mounts there's a little bump by the threaded rod that seems to align in the hole of the bracket best when the two cutout slots are down.

Is that right?

You're going for the wet look.

I can never remember the orientation, but when I drop an engine into a bay where I've messed with the motor mounts, I rotate the motor mount so the little bump is inside the slot, like you were talking about.

Mine were all facing slots down when I pulled the motors.

i think those cutouts in the motor mounts is there for clearance for the edge of the oil pan as it bolts to the bottom of the engine. at least that's what i've always thought and orient mine as such.

Sounds like down is the way to go. Thanks guys.

Jeff, it's just POR-15. Great stuff. And competition motor mounts!
