MORE wheel questions...

Ok, first of all, if any one is looking to spend some money on a set of very nice looking PERFECT stock 4 spoke 12A wheels, check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...em=1856918206.

Now...To my question. I just read something the other day about someone wondering if you could get a 4x100 wheel to fit on a 4x110 lug pattern. I dont remember what the answer was, so Im asking again. I did some math, and 4x110 is equal to 4x4.33", and 4x100 is equal to 4x3.93", making it only a difference of 0.040". So, since the wheels are hub-centric (or whatever), I could just oval out each little hole like 0.020" towards the center and then they would fit...Right? I made a little pic to help...They measure a 4 lug pattern from the center of each lug, so the black line is in the middle (4x110) and it would fit. The blue line is where the middle of the holes for the 4x100 would end up. The red is showing how I would oval out the holes 0.020" on each side to make up the total difference of 0.040". Make sense? Anyone follow me? Anyone know if this would work/be safe?

Beings i'm no expert, Ill just tell you what my buddies and i came up with.

Get any rim you want, it doesnt even matter the bolt pattern! 5 lug? No problems. slap it on.

Ok, to fasten it, we are going to use some high quality welding. Get them welded on, You're done!

Just make sure they arent off center, else it will be very bumpy.

Also, dont ever get a flat. Apart from that, you're set for life. Also may want to do any suspension and brake fixes/mods/ upgrades before doing this wheel swap.

Do what i did, get lucky and find a gsl-se.

I'm serious there. I'm selling my gs, not SOLELY for that reason, but because it has everything i would be upgrading to eventually anyways, so might as well just sell mine and get a new one, for a fraction of the cost of modding.

I dont give this as advice as to your situation tho, as i hate it when ppl do that.

The best that i know of is to keep checking www.obbnmotorworks.com , as sometimes mark can get in custom drilled TSW's in any size (up to 17" x 7" is safe) for 4x110

Any tire shop can order ANY wheel with ANY bolt pattern. The sales person needs to have the ability to talk with the store's distributor. If that can be done the distibutor will have the ability to drill a set of "blanks" with your offset, or the distributor will be able to order them from the factory to fit your car.

The only chain tire store I have found with this abbility is Discount Tire. If you are serious about geting wheels for you car, you should first talk with a tire store.

Not any wheel, but most. Basically the above TWO statements are true.
Some wheels, like the Racing Hart CP-035 are not available in "blanks" because the bolt pattern is actually part of the forming/forging process.

BTW: Is that ebay seller insane? Plus wheels are basically free. Refinishing can be found for $50 to $75 per wheel. I typically refrain from seller bashing, but that price is plain nutty.

Yeah, those wheels look really nice, but I don't think I'd spend that much for stock wheels. As for the custom bolt pattern stuff, does anybody know if Volk Racing makes TE-37 blanks (specifically in 13x5.5 or 14x6?

Also, thats at least the second time that set of wheels has been listed on Ebay, if not more.

Yeah, the problem is, the Rays Engineering website isn't all that great, and I know i've seen listings for TE-37s down to 13x5, and I have a pic of a 13X8 (see attachment).

Found some 13 x 5's that come in 4/110 and 14's
1010 Tires I'm starting to warm up to these tires, might actually get them, but then again for half the price I might get the TWS Fury or Eurace.

Yeah, I'm wondering as well...
Oh, and spartiatis, i think that the listed bolt pattern on those TE-37s isn't right, cause it'd seem odd that they'd only make one size with that pattern, and if you go to www.wheelspecs.com its listed as a 4x114.3/4x100 i think. I seriously hope i'm wrong though!

HOLY ****!!!!! I was just looking on the 1010tires site again, and I discovered that it's not a typo, 'cause they have FOUR sizes listed with the dual 4x114.3/4x110 pattern, and what's even more kickass is that you can get 14x5.5s with that pattern!

There should be one 13x5, one 14x5, and two 14x5.5's
