Cool more questions from the newbie

first off i wanna say you guys are my freakin heroes cause i keep asking all these questions and you are all nice enough to share your rotary wisdom with me. so here is a new batch of questions; ok so turns out that i need to have my carburator overhaul now i am wondering would it be more benificial in the long run to just replace the carb? whatever recommendations you could give me either about replacing the carb, or what kind of carb i should get instead of the nikki and what i would need to do that replacment? thanks again

What porting does your engine have, if it is a stock port 12a, I love my Mikuni 44 on mine, but you need to get a good exhaust to exploit it properly.

Do you have to pass emissions? If you do, have the Nikki rebuilt. if you don't, then it becomes a question of how much you want to spend, how much tuning do you want to do and future plans for the engine and mods.

If emissions aren't an issue, exhaust is the first aftermarket mod. Carb choices are a Sterling carb, Racing beat, the for sale section, or you can take your chances on eBay. Investigate thoroughly before you decide or buy.
