Minor antenna problem. Help please.

Ok, I went unkyard searching this weekend and got a front mounted Oil cooler and a complete antenna from what I believe was a 82 or earlier car. If it helps it had the shock tower mounted igntors.. Any way I just pulled the antenna off my 84 and discovered that my stock one had a 3 prong connector and the one I got has a two prong. Then I found that the one I got out of the junker was about 3-4 inches longer than my original one. My original one works, but it has no mast in it or the little plastik thingy that pushes up and down the antenna. How do I go about transplanting the new internals into my original setup? I know that it will always stick out about 3 inchs but I can live with that for now. I got other things to spend money on... Like a carb rebuild....

I know that there is a website that shws how to rebuild the antenna's but I cant fnd it. any one???

Do yourself a BIG Favor...

Get an aftermarket Power Antenna. Cheaper and better than Mazda's, and works the right way a Power Antenna should.
