Miata rear hub on 1st gen solid axle?
Yes i searched and didn't come up with anything. I am in the process of building a Locost (look it up if you're curious) with a 1st gen solid axle LSD and am going to be using Miata front hubs on the car so i'd like to have a matching bolt pattern front to back. I would prefer not to redrill the rear hubs for 4x100 so an easy question, does a miata rear hub fit? i realize there will need to be caliper mounting considerations, but has anybody swapped those parts in favor of a better bolt pattern than 4x110?

I don't believe that anyone has attempted this feat, particularly when 4x114.5 is so readily available by swapping in a SE axle. My guess is that redrilling is going to be your best bet. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Does the Miata rear hub fit to what?
The 1st gen runs a solid rear axle, the hub is the actual axle shaft, theres nothing to bolt the Miata hub to.Even if by some miracle the Miata hub/bearing assembely bolted to the 1st gen rear housing, how would you get the power from the 1st gen pumpkin to the IRS Miata hub?

thanks all for the input, i obviously haven't dug too deep into these parts yet. I guess the final solution is going to redrill the hubs for 4x100. i'd like to have that standard pattern not only to match the miata front uprights but since there is a massive amount of wheels to choose from. next weekend is part cleanup time.
