the gauge i got had adaptors that allowed it to thread into the holes of the 86 pump housing. i'm pretty sure their 1/2 inch.

My stand alone uses standard GM sensors which are 3/8 npt so the hole for the stock sensor was too small. Anyways I guess it depends on what youre using it for. Like I mentioned before when I had this on the upper hose my cold start,warm up would take forever. Hope this helps.

I couldnt find a temp sensor to fit the stock pump!
Im not sure if mine is a 12a housing or a gslse housing though.
I made an adapter out of the stock sensor that was allready there.

Ill take some pics tomarrow for yah.
