Now you need to reread the first part of this thread. I was speculating as to the extent of the HP lost due to a mechanical fan for the dawg that was asking the question. I figured 10 HP for reasons excruciatingly drawn out and quartered elsewhere in this thread. I never claimed I experienced it. I couldn't have because the conversion to the Derale happened at the same time as the install of the RP streetport 12A along with the hipo exhaust. This little '84 I picked up recently still has the mechanical fan, so it's going to be the next testbed if I can ever get around to curing the stupid high speed stumble...honks like a goose but the aircleaner hole is not drawing air....go figure....

Bla, those shutter valves cannot be trusted, gut the damn emissions already.

And ok, that's cool dawg, if you mentioned that before I forgot about it in the heat of battle. But like I said, go outside, pull that fan off, and I'll say I told you so (just don't creep around at 5mph and your temps will stay normal)

This battle heated up while I was out of town! Damn Sterling, you're nasty... I'm glad I was away when you posted that...

RxCetra - Do you really mean that **** about theorys and science? Christ, don't you ever ask the question, "Why?"?
How can I expect to believe you know about the science of carburetion when you scoff at the idea of using a scientific approach?
First of all it's RXCETERA... If you're going to flame me, at least learn how to spell my handle right. Dont get me started on carb discusions and the "science" involved in tunning them after the crap you've posted in the past. All I was trying to say (to Silver btw) is that what SHOULD work doesnt always work. I think Mantis said it best in the "I must be inside a whale" statement.

God that was the STUPIDEST ******* thing you could've said. Anybody who reads this post will never PM you for carb advice again for fear that you'll throw it in their face later on.

eh, but hey, who cares, right? You did'nt really wanna help anyone out anyways, didja?
I'm not on this forum to advertise my services. That low blow on Mar3 was in response to a low blow I got from him earlier. As far as me not wanting to help anyone, wtf? The only reason I come on here is to help out people as best as I can. Yeah, I know you where just ******* around when you wrote that, but maybe you should find out more about me before you write **** like that. I dont like getting my name dragged in the mud so you can look big in your flamboyant post.

So yeah, I had to get that off my chest. I'm glad everyone has kissed and made up in here since then .
