Mazda's Future RX-7? Maybe!
I know the past thread covered the new 16X but I'm not sure if it also spoke of the car. My latest issue of MotorTrend had a nice tiny update on the "Return of the RX-7". The article isn't up on their website but I did find the concept in their 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. Altho, the rear of the car is something not to my tastes. Tho, I like the front end. They already said that the new RX-8 will be getting that new 16X. Here's hoping for a new RX-7!
Enjoy!

Yea someone threw that up in the 16X thread but its still sweet. Though i would not expect to see anything like that on the roads for quite some time if ever. Maybe itll go in a newer I-ROBOT type movie like the audi r8 (basically same car)
Think they should stick with the looks of a combinaqtion of the fd, fb and maybe the rx8 instead of wasting time on stupid concepts

Actually, I already said in my original post that the new RX-8 will be getting the new 16X. And, yes, 2010 is the year that was given at the time of the show.

Whoops!
I remember when the concept for the new RX-7 came out long time ago....and it turned into the RX-8. Yet, I'm thinking we may have a better chance. Seeing as how the "In" thing is to rebuild iconic cars, like the new Camaro, Challenger, and the GT-R here in the States, Mazda may be a little bit more willing to get it done. I like the front design of the car.....but the rear has gotta go. That's just weird.

Think about when all the world had was the FB and FC. Though I didnt pay too much attention in 90 or 91 (cause I wasnt even 10 yet) If you saw an FD concept in 90 or 89, you might think the same thing. Granted the FD looks way better than this, and even 15 years later still kind of futuristic. I do remember being 10 when the FD's hit the street and actually talking to one guy about 'how cool' his car looks.

I think there is a good chance of the RX7 coming back as the RX7 and not an rx9 or watever because i think mazda has realized how much of a "cult" the rx7 crowd really is. Definetly more so than the rx8 owners.

Well, the Dino is not going to be made. MotorTrend did an article I think last month that focused on Ferrari and it was said that they have no intention of making a low-cost Ferrari.
Tho, the Dino does look good.

I have an article on this Taiki and I believe they said this word in Japanese is "atmosphere". The designers like to design around nature and this design was after airflow and the shape it makes in sand?!? Anyway, the drag co. was a mere .25 with zero lift. They also said that this car will never make it to the streets..... just the engine will!
